Growing up in rural Louisiana, Kenny Gabriel was endowed with valuable attributes such as resourcefulness, courteousness, discipline, and a desire to serve others. In 2012, he moved to Houston and received his Masters in Communication and Public Affairs–this helped him to better understand how to communicate with a diverse group of people and circumstances. Kenny attributes his success not only to his passion for real estate but also his innate ability to connect with his clients on a deeper level to create commonality. “One of the reasons I became a realtor was to ensure my clients have access to a team of experts and don’t feel their agent is a flight risk if their situation is challenging. I want to increase generational wealth by providing clients with the ability to experience the pride and value of home ownership as I did and to know that home ownership is possible no matter where you come from.” Prior to real estate, Kenny spent eight years in business and market development which allowed him to learn about the many areas of the city and its diverse population. He was part of a large diversity, equity, and inclusion network where he served as chair in multiple groups. This allowed him to interface with impactful individuals in both leadership roles across the city. As a community service ally, Kenny worked with animal shelters, community gardens, and food donation outlets. He believes that giving back to the community creates a cycle where everyone helps everyone and can elevate each other. He also serves as the Technology Chair for the Houston Black Real Estate Association (HBREA) and helps to interface other professionals with prospective clients while bringing valuable content to the online sphere. Kenny is an animal lover and has a poodle named Beaumont. His personality, ambitiousness, and twenty thousand foot view mindset is what sets him apart. “I look at the bigger picture first and then scale down to the individual to see how they fit into the equation. I represent more than myself and the client in a transaction and I want to ensure I foresee challenges before they happen–that’s truly advocating for your client!”
